Dormansland Swim Pond

A biologically filtered 15mx11mx2m Swim Pond.

Situated in the middle of an open field surrounded by the stunning woodlands of Dormansland, we created a biologically filtered 15mx11mx2m Swim Pond, featuring granite stepping-stones leading to a beautiful floating deck where you can unwind and plunge into the fresh water.

With no use of chemicals, the inclusion of aquatic planting and a natural waterfall, the pond holds crystal clear water all year. To produce the clients desired effect of a “rock pool”, we hand placed over 60 tons of granite boulders bought down from Wales to help achieve the finished look.

Construction

The construction of this project took 4 weeks, with the aid of an 8-ton digger for excavation and moving boulders as well as a 6 ton dumper for moving soil. Over 60 tons of granite boulders from Wales and 20 tons of pebbles were bought in to create this piece of paradise.
